Let&#8217;s see what treasures await us!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><em>Ready Player One<\/em> (PG-13, 2:20)<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Plot:<\/strong> In the future, a teenage gamer must save the world (well, the virtual gaming world) by knowing a lot about the Atari 2600, as foretold by prophecy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Director:<\/strong> Steven Spielberg (<em>Always<\/em>, <em>1941<\/em>)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stars:<\/strong> Tye Sheridan, Olivia Cooke, Ben Mendelsohn, Mark Rylance, nostalgia<\/p>\n<p><strong>Buzz:<\/strong> Response has varied from wild enthusiasm to utter distaste. We were <a href=\"https:\/\/crookedmarquee.com\/stage8\/review-life-is-just-a-hectic-game-in-ready-player-one\/\">somewhere in between<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rottentomatoes.com\/m\/ready_player_one\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rotten Tomatoes<\/a> reports 78% of reviews are more positive than negative, with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.metacritic.com\/movie\/ready-player-one?ref=hp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Metacritic<\/a> computing the average score at 64\/100.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"READY PLAYER ONE - Official Trailer 1 [HD]\" width=\"760\" height=\"428\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/cSp1dM2Vj48?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><em>Tyler Perry&#8217;s Acrimony<\/em> (R, 2:00)<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Plot:<\/strong> Tyler Perry wrote and directed this Tyler Perry movie about a woman (Taraji P. Henson) who has HAD IT with her husband&#8217;s infidelity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Director:<\/strong> Tyler Perry (<em>Tyler Perry&#8217;s Why Did I Get Married Too?<\/em>)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stars:<\/strong> Taraji P. Henson, Lyriq Bent, Crystle Stewart, Jazmyn Simon<\/p>\n<p><strong>Buzz:<\/strong> Tyler Perry doesn&#8217;t screen his movies for critics. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rottentomatoes.com\/m\/tyler_perrys_acrimony\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reviews<\/a> that have come up so far use the word &#8220;overwrought&#8221; a lot, which is right in Perry&#8217;s wheelhouse.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Tyler Perry\u2019s Acrimony (2018 Movie) Official Trailer \u2013 Taraji P. White, John Corbett, Ted McGinley, Tatum O&#8217;Neal<\/p>\n<p><strong>Buzz:<\/strong> A handful of critics screened this before it opened, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rottentomatoes.com\/m\/gods_not_dead_a_light_in_darkness\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">none<\/a> of them <a href=\"http:\/\/www.metacritic.com\/movie\/gods-not-dead-a-light-in-darkness\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">liked<\/a> it much. The film seems aimed at the subset of Christians who believe Christianity is under attack, on the verge of being criminalized, etc. If you get upset about the &#8220;war on Christmas,&#8221; this is the movie for you!<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"God&#039;s Not Dead 3: A Light in Darkness (Official Trailer)\" width=\"760\" height=\"428\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/wIKExeMVksk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><em>Finding Your Feet<\/em> (PG-13, 1:51)<\/h3>\n<p>Plot: In England, a middle-class older lady (Imelda Staunton) betrayed by her husband moves in with her bohemian sister (Celia Imrie), learns to laugh and love again, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Director: Richard Loncraine (<em>Wimbledon<\/em>, <em>Firewall<\/em>)<\/p>\n<p>Stars: Imelda Staunton, Celia Imrie, Timothy Spall, Joanna Lumley<\/p>\n<p>Buzz: Nice older British actors doing a pleasant comedy? That&#8217;s a slam-dunk in some circles. Join the legs with three 2.5&#8243; deck screws and construction adhesive. Pre-drill all the screw holes with a countersink bit to avoid splitting the wood. Finally, set the sides up parallel to each other and glue and screw the seat and back into place.
